20 Thousand Tons of Imported Rice from India Late Enter Indonesia

- Currently Bulog's imported rice has entered as much as 261 thousand tons from a total of 281 thousand tons. The rest, 20 thousand tons of rice from India will be late to enter Indonesia.

According to Director of Procurement Perum Bulog Andrianto delay is due to geographical problems. The distance from India to Indonesia is quite far compared to Vietnam or Thailand which is also a rice exporting country. Cruise from India takes more than 14 days.

"It seems that you can not get on schedule because geographically distant, it can be 14 days more," he said when contacted on Wednesday (28/2/2018).
